Charter

by Uncle Tony

When I was little boy, I remember one autumn day while raking the leaves, Papoo explained to me his dream for his family. Listening to the dream was more fun than raking the leaves.

PIRC (Plomaritis Information Reunion Committee) is not the dream but symbolic of the dream; the embodiment of Papoo and YaYa’s 26 grandchildren and a tribute to their values. Barbara and Heather [Aunt Gail’s daughters] took to YaYa as their own. Right up to the end, YaYa was waiting for Sara’s arrival. Was she a good YaYa? You be she was.

The policy making decisions of the Financial Committee will shape the direction and destiny of PIRC while the Family Council shapes its vision and moral character. Its mission is to keep its 26 members connected, informed, and inspired through newsletters, pictures, and reunions spaced three to five years apart.

The Financial Committee will be made up of one cousin from each family group. The criteria for qualification is that you are at least 21 years of age, have a genuine interest, no less than three feet tall, and able to count to ten in less than one hour. The Chairman Secretary will appoint the first three members based on a consensus. When the committee of three meets, their order of business will be to select additional qualifying members and the date and site of the next reunion.
