Hi Folks,

What I like best about today (Dec 25) is that it traditionally marks the shortest day of the year. I’m now looking ahead to the Summer Season, which use to start for me on the first Sunday in April, but now starts on the second Sunday of March. My heartfelt thanks to Congress for extending my Summer Season some three weeks.

However I’m still enjoying the harsh, bitter cold, gray, snowy, days with Cousin Sammy, having fun doing some much needed house cleaning while Aunt Nancy is suffering in the warm, sunny, blue skies of NC. Poor thing, but she assures me she doesn’t mind the necessary sacrifice as she helps Cousin Chuckie with her wedding plans for Jan 24th. Chuckie will become a Yeager. Remember that super sonic pilot, Chuck Yeager, that broke the sound barrier in the movie “The Right Stuff”? Well, it’s not him, His first name is Tony. To avoid confusion, we’ll just call him CT.

Since our last reunion, we’ve had two weddings and three births,
all from PIRC-Cousinhood-II.

Folks, remember during R-95, when we sent Cousin David off to College? Well he’s been through college, and law school, and will be taking his bar exam. Brother-in-law Brendan has also completed law school and both together with Dad Mitchell will be forming their law firm. Our heartfelt congratulations to David and Brendan. David is hereby promoted to lead counsel of PIRC’s legal department. Now that google has discovered our web sight, we’ll need to be thinking about protecting our intellectual property. Uncle Tim has expressed some concern about that. Cousin Ally did such a wonderful job sitting in for you at our last BOT meeting, she will become the official trustee for your family group.

So we have a lot to catch up on for our Odyssey 2010 reunion in Massachusetts.

Due to the 5 year spread, our upcoming reunion, hosted by Cousin Debbie’s family will be a four day event in place of our previous 3 day events to allow for more catch up time. However we will remain with the four scheduled activities as we have in our last two reunions. We looking to have it some time in July. A time will be set by our RCC (reunion coordinating committee) early 2010. It’s estimated that the economic slowdown will turn around during the fourth quarter of 2009 (hopefully).

Until then our secretary of the http://www.pirc-home.com web site, Cousin Danny will continue his labor of love developing it, and we thank him. He has some good ideas. We are aware some corrections are needed.

I recently reconnected with a high school class mate who was very impressed with our web site. He complimented our family organization skills and recommended that we assist the Obama transitional team. Good work Danny. You’re making us look good.

Bob is a recently retired school principal and looking for Nancy and I to enjoy a dinner date with him and his beautiful wife Sally when we get up that way for the reunion. The last time Nancy and I saw them was on our honeymoon, 40 years ago. One of those crazy realities of life. But Bob has kept in touch updating me on all of our class reunions over the years. He sent me a picture book of the last reunion. I remember showing Nan all these old people in disbelief. She said: “dad, when’s the last time you looked in the mirror”?

Well folks, just got back from out nightly doggie & daddy walk, and fed him his dinner. He’s now resting on his doggie pad waiting for his desert. Before I hit the sack, I pour my glass of wine and flip him some chicken cubes while I watch the weather channel Notice how beautifully groomed the ladies are? why else would a guy watch the weather channel!
